Manually Update Genshin Impact 2.8.0 to 3.0 on PC with tutorial

       Updates to the Genshin Impact game as we know are always awaited by the players. However, sometimes problems arise when updating the Genshin Impact game, especially for the PC/Computer platform. both from the captcha for login does not appear, the verification process file update error and so on. With such a large file size every time you update, it would be very disappointing if you had to repeat the update process from the beginning. So updating manually can be a solution for this.

   In the 3.0 version patch this time, the downloaded game data file is 8.3 GB while the voice data is less than 1 GB for the Japanese version because I only use the Japanese version. You can imagine if the update error process and I have to repeat downloading the files that are needed again, of course it will take time.

     I made this guide to help people who often experience errors during the update process for the Genshin Impact game. If updating via the launcher goes smoothly, of course, this guide does not need to be done.

Download the following files, which are for version 3.0.

Data Game Patch 2.8 to 3.0 (4.3 GB)

And additional files are also needed in the form of voice data data, just download the file according to the one used in the Genshin Impact game.

Chinese Audio Files (575MB)

Korean Audio Files (577MB)

Installation Process 

After the file has been downloaded, the next process is the installation process of the file earlier.

• First, open the Genshin Impact launcher, bro, do a lancher update in settings. or usually a pop up message will appear to update the lancher.

• Next, click the download button and leave it for about 1%, then press the pause button.
• Make sure that the download process has completely stopped. Continue by closing the launcher (not minimize)
• Now find the folder where you saved the Genshin Impact Data file. 

C:\Program Files\Genshin Impact\Genshin Impact Game\

• There will be a file with the zip.tmp extension. with the same file name as the file that was downloaded manually at the beginning.
• Move the manual update file into this folder and delete the file with the zip.tmp extension.

• After following the steps above, run the launcher again, and it will say Pre-installation complete / Update. and wait until the process is complete.

Warning.

if this process is done in Pre-Installation, not to manually extract the update file without going through the launcher. because if that's done you can't play the game until the server maintenance on the game is done.
